Privacy Policy

Last updated: 29 July 2026

Draft notice: This policy has been prepared as a working draft based on the information provided about how this website and business currently operate. It is not a substitute for advice from a qualified solicitor or data protection professional, and should be reviewed before the site goes live — particularly if analytics, marketing tools, or additional data processors are added later.

Fire & Facilities Consulting Ltd ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it, in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

1. Who we are

Fire & Facilities Consulting Ltd
16 The Maltings, Roydon Road, Stanstead Abbotts, Ware, Hertfordshire, SG12 8UU
Email: contact@fire-facilities-consulting.co.uk

We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

2. What data we collect

When you use the "Get a Quote" form or the Contact form on this website, we collect:

  • Your name
  • Your company or organisation name (if provided)
  • Your email address
  • Your phone number (if provided)
  • The property address you are enquiring about
  • Any additional details you choose to include in your message

We do not use analytics or advertising cookies on this website at present, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under the age of 18.

3. How we use your data

We use the information you submit to:

  • Respond to your enquiry and provide a quote
  • Arrange and carry out fire door inspections you request
  • Keep records relating to any services provided, for legal and accounting purposes

Our legal basis for processing this data is legitimate interest — responding to enquiries you have proactively made — and, where we go on to provide services, the performance of a contract with you or your organisation.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your personal data. Your enquiry is sent via our website hosting provider and email delivery service solely for the purpose of getting your message to us. We do not share your data with any other third party unless required by law, or where necessary to deliver a service you have specifically requested (for example, a subcontracted specialist inspection, which we would only ever arrange with your knowledge).

5. How long we keep it

Enquiry data that does not lead to an instructed inspection is retained for up to 24 months, then deleted. Data relating to completed inspections and reports is retained for as long as required for professional, contractual, and insurance purposes — typically in line with our professional indemnity insurance requirements.

6. Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate data
  • Ask us to delete your data, where we are not required to keep it
  • Object to, or ask us to restrict, certain processing
  • Request your data in a portable format

To exercise any of these rights, email contact@fire-facilities-consulting.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you believe your data has been mishandled.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
